Karnataka Health Minister Reports Supply Issues for Certain Medications at Primary Health Centres

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao addressed the Legislative Council, acknowledging issues concerning the supply of specific medications at primary health centers across the state. He clarified, however, that there were no shortages of these medications at the state-run hospitals located at the district and taluk levels.

Minister Rao emphasized the governments commitment to ensuring that all healthcare facilities are adequately stocked to meet the needs of the population. The state has been actively working to resolve supply chain issues that may affect primary health centers, which often face unique challenges due to their operational settings.

Efforts are underway to streamline the distribution process and enhance inventory management systems within these centers. The minister’s remarks highlight the ongoing focus on improving healthcare accessibility and efficiency throughout the state’s healthcare network.
