Jet Fuel Prices Surge Over 100% to ₹2.07 Lakh/kl; Commercial LPG Increases by ₹195.50
Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have reached an unprecedented level, surpassing ₹2 lakh per kilolitre for the first time in history. This significant increase reflects broader trends in global oil markets, influenced by factors such as geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and changes in crude oil prices.
In contrast, domestic cooking gas (LPG) prices have remained steady, with the last adjustment made on March 7, when the price for a 14.2 kg cylinder was increased by ₹60. Currently, consumers are still benefiting from this price freeze, as no further hikes have been announced since that date.
This situation highlights the ongoing volatility in fuel prices and its impact on both aviation and household energy costs. The rise in ATF prices, in particular, may have implications for air travel expenses and overall airline operational costs.
