Government to Implement Natural Farming Across More Than 61,000 Acres Beginning with Kharif Season

The state government has announced the implementation of a natural farming initiative across 489 clusters, with an allocated budget of ₹42 crore. As part of this mission, selected farmers will receive training at designated Rythu Vedikas, which are community agricultural centers aimed at promoting sustainable farming practices.

Natural farming, which focuses on minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, emphasizes the importance of biodiversity and soil health. The initiative aims to support local farmers in adopting environmentally friendly practices that could improve their crop yields and enhance the sustainability of their farming operations.

Rythu Vedikas will play a pivotal role in this initiative by providing resources and guidance to farmers throughout the training process. These centers serve as platforms for knowledge exchange, where farmers can share experiences and learn best practices for natural farming.

This initiative is expected to not only benefit the environment but also improve the livelihoods of farmers by reducing input costs associated with chemical farming. Further details regarding the timeline for the training sessions and the criteria for selecting farmers for the program are anticipated to be released shortly.
