Karnataka Health Minister Reports Supply Issues with Certain Drugs at Primary Health Centres
In a recent session of the Legislative Council, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao addressed concerns regarding the availability of certain medications at primary health centres throughout the State. Minister Rao acknowledged that there have been issues affecting the supply of some pharmaceuticals. However, he reassured members of the Council that there is no shortage of these medications in State-run hospitals at both the district and taluk levels.
The Minister’s comments come in response to growing concerns from the public and healthcare professionals about access to essential medicines in primary healthcare settings. Efforts to address the supply chain issues are currently underway. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, measures are being taken to ensure that primary health centres are adequately stocked to meet patient needs. Further updates on this situation are anticipated as the department continues to monitor and resolve these supply challenges.
