₹60,000 Crore Subsidy and Amrit Bharat Trains Aim to Enhance Affordable Rail Travel, Says Vaishnaw
The Railway Minister recently announced that a total of 133 Amrit Bharat trains are currently in various stages of manufacturing. These trains are part of the Indian governments initiative to enhance rail connectivity across the country. Services for some of these trains have already commenced in several states, including West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
The Amrit Bharat scheme aims to modernize the railway system and provide improved passenger experiences through better amenities and services. The initiative is expected to benefit both urban and rural areas by facilitating easier access to railway transport. Additional states are anticipated to receive these services as more trains are completed and introduced into operation.
