Government to Implement Natural Farming on Over 61,000 Acres Beginning in Kharif Season
The implementation of natural farming practices across 489 designated clusters has been announced, with a total investment of ₹42 crores earmarked for the initiative. Farmers participating in the program will receive training at selected Rythu Vedikas, rural agricultural training centers aimed at promoting sustainable farming techniques.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance agricultural sustainability and improve the livelihoods of local farmers. Natural farming, which emphasizes minimal use of chemical inputs and harnesses natural processes, is expected to lead to healthier ecosystems and improved crop resilience. The selected farmers will undergo comprehensive training that includes best practices, resource management, and biodiversity conservation to ensure they can effectively implement these methods in their farming operations.
Furthermore, this program aligns with the governments objectives of promoting sustainable agriculture, reducing carbon footprints, and enhancing food security. The initiative is anticipated to not only benefit the environment but also improve the economic stability of farming communities across the regions involved.
