PM Modi Conducts Roadshow in Puducherry During Assembly Elections
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced its list of candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, selecting representatives for 27 constituencies. In a similar move, the Indian National Congress party has declared candidates for 27 out of the 28 constituencies in the state.
The state elections, scheduled to take place in 2024, are critical as they will determine the political landscape in Tamil Nadu, which has a history of regional party dominance. The BJP, aiming to increase its foothold in the state, is fielding candidates across various constituencies, with a focus on both urban and rural areas. Meanwhile, the Congress party is working to consolidate its support, particularly in regions where it has traditionally held sway.
With both parties finalizing their candidates, the political concentration is expected to intensify in the lead-up to the elections. The remaining candidates for Tamil Nadus constituencies, including the undecided constituency by Congress, may be announced in the coming weeks as both parties gear up for a competitive electoral battle.
