Pinarayi Vijayan Responds to Revanth Reddys Criticism of Kerala

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has responded to comments made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who recently criticized the Kerala assembly polls. Reddys remarks suggested that there were issues within the electoral process in Kerala, which he purportedly used to make comparisons with Telanganas electoral system.

In his response, Vijayan labeled Reddys comments as “misinformed” and defended the integrity of the electoral process in Kerala. He emphasized that Kerala has a long-standing reputation for conducting free and fair elections and highlighted the states strong democratic institutions.

Moreover, Vijayan pointed out that every state in India has unique political dynamics, and it is essential to respect those differences rather than make unfounded judgments. He further invited Reddy to learn from Kerala’s governance model, which has been recognized for its focus on social welfare and public health outcomes.

This exchange comes against the backdrop of heightened political rivalry between the ruling parties in Kerala and Telangana, with both states gearing up for upcoming state assembly elections. Keralas assembly elections are scheduled for 2026, while discussions about Telanganas electoral strategies are ongoing.
