MEA Receives Plea for Consular Access for Six Ukrainian Nationals
The Ministry of External Affairs has reported that three individuals, including two Ukrainian nationals and one American citizen, were discovered to be lacking the necessary permits to travel to Mizoram, a state in northeastern India.
The Ministry has emphasized the importance of adhering to visa and travel regulations in India, which are in place to ensure security and proper documentation for foreign visitors. This incident raises awareness about the regulations governing foreign nationals in India, particularly in regions with specific entry requirements.
As of October 2023, India has implemented various procedures to manage the entry of foreign nationals, and travelers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these rules prior to their visit. The Ministry continues to strengthen border control measures and ensure compliance with immigration laws to enhance the safety and security of the region.
