Bengalurus Kempegowda International Airport Recognized as Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia; Advances to 41st in Global Rankings

Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) has announced that Terminal 2 has become the first airport terminal in India to receive a prestigious 5-star rating from Skytrax, recognizing its exceptional services and facilities. In addition to this accolade, the airport has also achieved the highest Level 5 Accreditation under the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation program.

This Level 5 accreditation signifies that the airport has implemented comprehensive measures to reduce its carbon footprint, positioning it as a leader in sustainability within the aviation sector. ACI’s program assesses airports on their efforts to manage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, indicating a commitment to environmental best practices.

BIAL aims to enhance passenger experience and promote sustainability as part of its broader initiative to strengthen its position within the global aviation community.
