South Central Railway Exceeds Railway Board Targets in Kavach and ABS Implementation

General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava praised the Signal and Telecommunications division for achieving a record in the commissioning of Automatic Block Signaling (ABS) systems and successfully completing field trials for the Kavach safety system. Emphasizing the importance of safety in railway operations, Srivastava stated that maintaining and enhancing railway safety remains a principal focus for the organization.

The Automatic Block Signaling system is designed to improve the efficiency and safety of train operations by allowing more precise control over train movements. Meanwhile, the Kavach system is an indigenous technology aimed at preventing collisions and enhancing overall safety on railway tracks. The successful implementation of these initiatives reflects the railway’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to ensure passenger safety and operational reliability.

These advancements are part of a broader strategy by the Indian Railways to modernize its infrastructure and improve service delivery. With increasing passenger traffic and operational demands, investing in safety technology is pivotal in maintaining public trust and ensuring efficient transportation within the network.
