MLA Reviews Position Amidst Unmet Commitments

During the Mana Ooru Mana Janda celebrations held in Jammalamadugu, Adinarayana Reddy, a prominent political figure, addressed party activists regarding pressing issues faced by the community. He specifically highlighted the significant concerns surrounding the unfulfilled promises of compensation and job opportunities for individuals displaced by the Gandikota reservoir project.

The Gandikota reservoir, an important infrastructure initiative in the region, was developed to enhance irrigation and support agricultural activities. However, the displacement of local residents has led to ongoing discontent related to inadequate compensation and the promise of new employment opportunities that have yet to materialize. Reddy emphasized the need for immediate action to address these grievances, stressing that the wellbeing of the affected families should be a top priority for the government.

In response to the situation, community leaders and local officials are being urged to engage in dialogue to ensure that the needs of those impacted by the reservoir are adequately met. The celebration also served as a platform for raising awareness about other regional development issues, as the party seeks to strengthen its support base amid growing concerns from the electorate regarding development and social equity.
