KDA Urges Government to Develop Century-Old Schools in Karnataka as Heritage Institutions
On Friday, the Chairman of the Karnataka Development Authority (KDA) presented a comprehensive report on century-old government schools to the School Education Minister, Madhu Bangarappa. This report details the current conditions, infrastructural needs, and educational outcomes of these historic institutions, which have been serving communities for over a hundred years.
The report aims to address the challenges faced by these schools, including budget constraints, staff shortages, and the need for modernization of facilities. The findings are expected to guide future policy decisions and potential funding allocations to preserve these educational establishments while enhancing the quality of education offered.
Additionally, the Minister expressed the governments commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the state, particularly in rural and underserved areas, and emphasized the importance of maintaining the legacy of these long-standing institutions. The minister and KDA officials will collaborate to develop action plans based on the reports recommendations.
