ISRO Chief Narayanan Announces Anticipated Launch of G20 Satellite in 2027
In a recent address at the Engineering Staff College of India, Dr. Narayanan highlighted significant achievements by Indian space agencies, specifically the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), as well as the Aeronautical Society of India. He emphasized that India made history by successfully launching 104 satellites in a single mission, a record for the highest number of satellites deployed simultaneously without any collisions. This milestone demonstrates Indias growing capabilities in space technology and satellite deployment.
Dr. Narayanans remarks come in the context of Indias broader advancements in aerospace engineering and research, showcasing the collaborative efforts of various scientific communities in the country. ISROs successful launch, which occurred in February 2017 with the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C37) mission, has been regarded as a landmark achievement that underscores Indias position in the global space research arena. This accomplishment not only reflects the technical expertise of Indian scientists but also enhances the country’s capabilities in satellite technology for applications in communication, navigation, and earth observation.
