No Schedule Established for Upcoming Iran-US Talks, According to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister

Irans Deputy Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, has announced that no date has been scheduled for the next round of negotiations with the United States regarding the Iran nuclear deal. This development follows previous discussions aimed at reviving the 2015 agreement, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which has been a focal point in U.S.-Iran relations since the U.S. withdrew from the accord in 2018.

Bagheri Kani asserted that while both parties express interest in continuing discussions, logistical and strategic adjustments are needed before a new session can be organized. The last round of negotiations took place in Vienna, and since then, diplomatic efforts have faced numerous challenges, including disagreements over nuclear policy and sanctions.

The JCPOA was initially designed to regulate Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions, with the intention of preventing the development of nuclear weapons. However, tensions have escalated significantly in recent years following the U.S. withdrawal and subsequent reinstatement of sanctions, which have severely impacted Iran’s economy.

As international stakeholders watch closely, the search for a mutually agreeable timeline for future negotiations remains uncertain.
