Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for 56 Power Facilities Valued at ₹97 Crore
A total of 56 power infrastructure projects are set to be developed in the Rajamahendravaram and Rajanagaram constituencies in preparation for the Godavari Pushkarams-2027. The initiative, which will cost approximately ₹96.90 crore, aims to enhance the regions power supply and reliability during the festival, which draws thousands of pilgrims and tourists.
The infrastructure improvements will involve the installation of underground power cables to minimize disruptions and improve aesthetics, as well as the establishment of a new power station to bolster the local grid. This development is expected to not only support the increased energy demands during the Pushkarams but also provide long-term benefits to the community, ensuring a stable and efficient power supply for residents and businesses alike.
The Godavari Pushkarams, a prominent religious festival held every 12 years, attracts significant attendance, providing an opportunity for local economic growth and infrastructure enhancement ahead of the event. The initiatives are part of broader efforts to improve public services and accommodate the needs of the regions growing population.
