Tarluvada Prepares for Google AI Data Center Development

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for April 28 in a hamlet located in the Anandapuram mandal, just outside the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation limits. This site will soon be home to Googles first hyperscale 1 gigawatt (GW) artificial intelligence (AI) data center established outside the United States.

This data center represents a significant investment in Indias digital infrastructure and is expected to bolster local employment opportunities and technological development. The facility is part of Googles ongoing efforts to expand its global footprint in cloud computing and AI technologies, responding to the growing demand for data storage and processing power.

Further details on the project reveal that the center will be built with a focus on sustainability, incorporating energy-efficient designs and renewable energy sources to meet its operational requirements. Once completed, it is anticipated that the data center will play a crucial role in enhancing internet services and providing support for various industries, as well as contributing to the regions economic growth.
