Over 13,000 Pilgrims from Kerala Prepare for Haj; Inaugural Flight from Kochi Scheduled for April 30

The Haj Committee has announced the launch of a new short Haj package for pilgrims, which will significantly reduce the duration of their stay in Saudi Arabia from the traditional 40-45 days to just 25 days. This initiative aims to make the pilgrimage more accessible and manageable for participants.

In the state, embarkation points for the pilgrimage are established at Kochi, Kozhikode, and Kannur, facilitating the travel of local devotees. This streamlined approach is intended to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims while ensuring a more efficient process for those making the sacred journey.

The changes come as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the overall experience of devotees undertaking the Haj, which is an important religious obligation for Muslims. The Haj Committee has also implemented various measures to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of pilgrims during their journey.
