Jammu and Kashmir Government Imposes Two-Year Blacklist on Reliance General Insurance Company Limited
The government has reported that the insurance company has not met several contractual obligations related to the provision of health insurance services. Notably, the company failed to issue health insurance cards to beneficiaries, which is essential for accessing healthcare services. Additionally, it did not provide a list of empanelled hospitals where policyholders can receive medical care.
Furthermore, the insurance company has not developed a web-based application platform intended to facilitate service access and management for users. There has also been a failure to establish performance parameters and a penalty framework that are critical components of the contract agreement.
These shortcomings raise concerns about the efficiency and reliability of the health insurance program, which is designed to support healthcare accessibility for the population. The government is expected to take measures to address these issues and ensure compliance with the contractual terms to protect the interests of insured individuals.
