Schools Closed in Five Districts of Mizoram Due to Severe Weather Conditions
In response to safety concerns, schools in the Aizawl, Serchhip, Lunglei, Hnahthial, and Lawngtlai districts of Mizoram have been temporarily closed. Angela Zothanpuii, the Director of School Education, announced the decision as a precautionary measure.
The closures aim to safeguard students and staff following recent events that have prompted officials to reassess safety protocols. Although specific reasons for the closure were not disclosed, this decision underscores the importance placed on the health and safety of educational environments in the region.
Authorities have urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and follow updates from local education officials regarding the reopening of schools. Additionally, the state government is evaluating the situation closely and will provide guidance based on ongoing assessments of safety conditions.
