The Geological Survey of India (GSI) has recently affirmed its role as a referral laboratory specializing in post-harvest fisheries, according to Deputy Director General G. Nagendran. This designation underscores the institute’s commitment to advancing research and providing expert services in the seafood sector.
In a significant development, the GSI has entered into a partnership with FarmLynk AgriSymbiosis Pvt. Ltd. to facilitate the transfer of technology focused on ready-to-eat seafood snacks. This collaboration is expected to enhance product offerings in the seafood market, aiming to meet the growing consumer demand for convenient and nutritious food options.
The agreement will likely combine GSIs scientific expertise with the commercial acumen of FarmLynk, potentially leading to innovative solutions in the post-harvest processing of seafood.
