1,000 MW Capacity Data Parks to be Established in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mangaluru

Karnataka Ministers K.J. George, M.B. Patil, and Priyank Kharge recently convened for a preliminary meeting to discuss the establishment of data parks in the state.

The meeting aimed to explore the strategic development of data parks, which are increasingly recognized as vital infrastructure to support the growing demands of data storage and processing in the digital age. Such initiatives are expected to attract investment, foster innovation, and create job opportunities in the technology sector.

Karnataka, particularly its capital Bengaluru, is known as the tech hub of India, home to numerous IT companies and startups. The proposed data parks could further enhance the states reputation as a leader in technology and innovation, providing essential services to both local and international businesses.

Details regarding the specific locations, investment plans, and timelines for the development of these data parks have not yet been disclosed, but further consultations and discussions are anticipated as the government moves forward with this initiative.
