Minister Lokesh: Andhra Pradesh Emerging as Comprehensive Hub for Data Centre Solutions

The Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister has officially laid the foundation stone for a new manufacturing facility of Carrier Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Limited in Sri City, located within the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh.

This new facility is expected to enhance Carrier’s production capabilities in India and contribute to the growing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions in the region. The investment is also anticipated to generate local employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the area.

Carrier, a subsidiary of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, is known for its innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions. The establishment of this manufacturing unit aligns with the Indian governments initiative to boost domestic manufacturing under the “Make in India” program, which encourages companies to produce locally and reduce reliance on imports.

Further details regarding the scale of production, expected completion date, and the specific types of products that will be manufactured at the new facility have yet to be announced.
