It has been the site of numerous reconstructions following periods of destruction. The temple was first rebuilt after India gained independence, with its inauguration on December 11, 1951, led by then-President Rajendra Prasad. The Prime Minister’s remarks serve to honor the legacy of those who contributed to the temples enduring significance in Indian culture and spirituality.
