India Advocates for Inclusive Migration and Enhanced Anti-Trafficking Legislation at the United Nations General Assembly
Kirti Singh emphasized the extensive initiatives implemented by the Indian government to assist its citizens residing abroad, particularly through the adoption of digital technologies. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to ensure the welfare and safety of Indian nationals overseas.
Notably, the Ministry of External Affairs has introduced various online services to facilitate communication and support for expatriates. This includes the use of digital platforms for passport services, overseas registration, and assistance in emergency situations. Furthermore, the Indian government has also enhanced its outreach programs, organizing community events and providing informational resources to help citizens navigate living and working in foreign countries.
As part of these initiatives, India has established a network of embassies and consulates globally, which serve as critical points of support for Indians in need of assistance. Through these integrated measures, the government aims to foster a sense of community and ensure that its citizens can access the resources necessary for their wellbeing while abroad.
