Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls in Karnataka Scheduled to Commence on June 20, Affecting Over 5.55 Crore Voters
Anbu Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Karnataka, announced that 86% of the electoral mapping process has been finalized as of now. He assured that the remaining tasks will be completed ahead of the forthcoming Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) exercise.
This mapping is a crucial step in ensuring accurate electoral rolls and effective voter outreach as Karnataka prepares for its upcoming elections. The SVEEP initiative aims to educate voters about the electoral process and encourage higher voter participation. As part of this effort, the Election Commission of India plays a vital role in facilitating a transparent and inclusive electoral environment. The completion of the mapping process is essential to provide a clear and comprehensive picture of the electorate in the state.
