AAP and Congress Express Concerns Regarding SIR in Punjab Ahead of 2027 Assembly Elections
Haryanas Chief Electoral Officer A. Sreenivas announced that the third phase of the Special Identity Register (SIR) campaign has designated July 1, 2026, as the qualifying date for state residency.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure accurate voter registration and enhance the integrity of the electoral process in Haryana. The SIR campaign aims to streamline the identification of eligible voters and includes measures for updating personal information in the electoral rolls.
As the state prepares for upcoming elections, this campaign is expected to help in addressing issues related to voter eligibility and participation. Voters are encouraged to verify their registration status and ensure that their details are up to date in anticipation of the designated qualifying date.
