G. Sudhakaran Emphasizes Absence of Personal Conflict in Politics During Pinarayis MLA Swearing-In Ceremony

Sudhakaran has officially taken office as the Pro Tem Speaker of the Kerala Assembly. In a recent statement, he expressed that he perceives no distinction between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the other Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) for whom he will administer the oath of office on Thursday.

As Pro Tem Speaker, Sudhakarans primary role includes overseeing the swearing-in process for newly elected MLAs following the state elections. In Kerala, the Pro Tem Speaker is appointed to facilitate the initial parliamentary proceedings and ensure the smooth transition of the assemblys membership. This position is critical, particularly in states where elections have resulted in a significant reshuffling of the legislative assembly.

Sudhakaran, a member of the Indian National Congress, has previously held various roles within the state government and is expected to carry out his duties impartially as he administers the oath to both veteran and newly elected representatives. The swearing-in ceremony marks a significant step in the assemblys functioning, paving the way for the formation of the new government.
