DRDO Conducts Final Trials of ULPGM-V3 Precision Missile Near Kurnool
India has successfully conducted a missile test that evaluated its capabilities in both air-to-ground and air-to-air modes. The test underscores the nations ongoing efforts to enhance its defense technology and bolster its military capabilities.
The missile, which has not been specified in the announcement, is part of Indias broader strategy to develop indigenous defense systems and reduce reliance on foreign arms procurement. Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Adani Defence Systems and Technologies have been designated as the production agencies for this missile, which is expected to be an integral component of India’s defense arsenal.
Bharat Dynamics, established in 1970, specializes in manufacturing missiles and ammunition and has a track record of producing key systems for the Indian Armed Forces. Adani Defence, part of the Adani Group, has recently increased its focus on defense manufacturing, including collaborations with foreign firms to enhance local production capabilities.
This successful test not only demonstrates Indias technological advancements but also aligns with the governments initiative to promote “Make in India” in the defense sector, thereby strengthening national security and fostering economic growth through self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
