UDF Under Scrutiny for Cross-Voting and Organizational Issues in Pathanamthitta
The Indian National Congress has initiated disciplinary action against two of its block-level office-bearers in the Konni constituency. This follows a recent election in which the party’s candidate, Satish Kochuparambil, lost by a narrow margin. Internal reviews conducted by the party revealed that the two leaders in question did not fulfill their organizational responsibilities during the campaign period. Reports indicate that they were largely inactive and, in some instances, voiced criticisms of the partys candidate on social media platforms.
In response to the findings, party officials are emphasizing the importance of collective support and unity during election campaigns as they work to strengthen their organizational framework. The Congress party, which has historically been a significant political force in Kerala, aims to address any internal issues to improve electoral performance in future contests. This disciplinary action is part of a broader effort to cultivate accountability among leaders at various levels within the party.
