Finland PM Expresses Desire for Quick India-EU FTA and Hopes for Indias Contribution in Resolving Ukraine Conflict
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to enhance Indias diplomatic relations with Europe, with a series of engagements planned for May. He will return to the continent in June for participation in the G-7 summit, which will include discussions on global economic stability, climate action, and international security. Following the G-7, Modi is expected to visit Slovakia to strengthen bilateral ties with the Central European nation.
Additionally, later this year, the Prime Minister plans to travel to Brussels to continue negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union. This agreement aims to bolster economic ties and facilitate trade between India and the EU member states, addressing key sectors such as technology, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
These trips underscore Indias commitment to strengthening its partnerships with European nations, particularly in the context of global challenges and shifting geopolitical dynamics.
