Cyprus Advocates for Reinforcement of IMEEC, Seeks Collaboration with Indian Defence Sector

Cyprus has expressed its support for the reinforcement of the International Multimodal Economic Corridor (IMEEC), a project aimed at strengthening trade and connectivity between India and the European Union. The IMEEC is designed to enhance the logistical and infrastructural links between the two regions, facilitating smoother trade routes and collaboration across various sectors.

Additionally, Cypriot officials have shown interest in procuring products from Indias defence industry. This interest aligns with Cypruss broader strategy to diversify its defence partnerships and enhance its military capabilities. India, known for its robust defence manufacturing sector, has been actively seeking to expand its international collaborations, especially with European nations.
