Karnataka Minister Announces Daily Provision of 20% of Hotel Industrys LPG Needs

The government announced that it will distribute up to 10,000 gas cylinders daily to various sectors, including hotels, industrial canteens, restaurants, and roadside eateries, known as dhabas. This initiative has been confirmed by K.H. Muniyappa, the Food and Civil Supplies Minister.

The distribution of these cylinders aims to support the food service industry and promote local businesses, which have been significantly impacted by recent economic challenges. The initiative is also expected to enhance the availability of cooking gas in the region, fostering a more stable supply chain for food preparation in catering and hospitality sectors.
