Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Advises Residents to Call 1912 for Power Complaints Amid Heatwave

In response to ongoing power outages attributed to the current heatwave conditions in Andhra Pradesh, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has urged consumers to report any electricity-related issues by calling the toll-free helpline 1912. The minister emphasized the importance of informing the authorities about power disruptions to facilitate prompt assistance and ensure a more reliable power supply during this critical period.

As the region experiences an increase in temperatures that have led to higher electricity demand, the state government is working to address the challenges posed by supply shortages. The helpline is designed to assist consumers in reporting outages, malfunctions, or other related concerns, thereby enhancing the responsiveness of utility services.

In addition to utilizing the helpline, the Energy Minister encouraged residents to conserve electricity where possible and stay informed about weather forecasts and advisories related to heatwave conditions. The government is also exploring measures to improve infrastructure and service delivery in the face of extreme weather patterns.
