NTA Reports Glitch in CUET UG 2026 Allows Over 3,700 Students to Re-Enter Exam Centers
A technical issue significantly impacted the CUET (UG) 2026 examination on Saturday, leading to delays at various test centers. In response, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that over 3,700 students who left their exam centers prior to the resumption of the tests would be given an opportunity to take a rescheduled examination. The NTA has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the disruption and is currently conducting an investigation into the underlying cause of the glitch in collaboration with its technical service provider, TCS iON.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) serves as a vital gateway for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs at participating central universities and other institutions across India. The examination is crucial, and disruptions such as this can lead to significant stress and uncertainty for candidates. The NTA is committed to ensuring a fair and seamless testing experience and aims to implement measures that prevent similar issues in the future. Further updates regarding the rescheduled exams are expected to be communicated to affected candidates soon.
