Bihar Government to Introduce 50 New Pink Buses
The government has announced plans to develop 31 modern bus stands that will reflect the design and functionality seen in NOIDA and Mumbai. These facilities are expected to enhance public transportation by providing updated amenities and improving overall passenger experience.
In conjunction with this project, an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) will be implemented under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The ITMS aims to monitor traffic flows and manage traffic violations more effectively, the goal being to reduce congestion and enhance road safety.
This initiative comes as part of a broader strategy to modernize urban transport infrastructure, support sustainable transit solutions, and improve urban mobility. The engagement of private sector partners is expected to facilitate investment and innovation in public services, which could lead to the development of more efficient traffic management solutions. Additional details regarding the timeline and funding for these projects are yet to be released.
