Naidu Urges ONGC to Expedite K-G Basin Projects and Allocate CSR Funds for Villages

Arun Kumar Singh, the Chairman of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to discuss the companys ongoing projects in the Krishna-Godavari basin. During the meeting, Chief Minister Naidu urged ONGC to accelerate the pace of its operations in the region, highlighting the potential benefits of timely execution for local economic development.

In addition, Naidu encouraged ONGC to allocate a portion of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds towards initiatives that would benefit the surrounding villages. This move is aimed at enhancing community welfare and addressing local needs, as the region is known for its significant oil and gas reserves, which contribute to the states economy.

The Krishna-Godavari basin has been a focal point for energy exploration and production in India, attracting investments from various companies and contributing to the country’s energy security.
