Bengalurus Bannerghatta Biological Park Set to Install 25-Meter Public Observation Tower
The Republic of National Parks Foundation (RNPF) has announced a grant of ₹5 crore aimed at the construction of a new observation tower in the Bannerghatta National Park area. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance wildlife observation opportunities while ensuring safety and regulation.
The proposed tower is designed to provide visitors with stunning panoramic views of the parks lush, forested valley, as well as the skyline of Bengaluru. By offering a structured observation point, the tower seeks to facilitate safe wildlife viewing experiences, allowing guests to appreciate the natural beauty and biodiversity of the region without disturbing the wildlife.
The new facility aligns with conservation efforts to promote eco-tourism while safeguarding the habitats of various species within the park. Bannerghatta National Park, located approximately 22 kilometers south of Bengaluru, is known for its rich flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, and a variety of bird species, making it a crucial area for ecological tourism.
Further details regarding the projects timeline and construction plans are expected to be released by the RNPF in the coming months. The organization emphasizes the importance of balancing wildlife preservation with public engagement to foster a deeper appreciation for environmental conservation.
