KWA and Kochi Corporation to Perform Joint Inspection on Reported Water Contamination
Approximately 60 residents from the Kadavanthra, Panampilly Nagar, and Perumanoor divisions have reported experiencing symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting. These health issues are believed to be linked to drinking water supplied by the Kerala Water Authority (KWA).
Local health officials are currently investigating the matter to determine the source of contamination that may have affected the water supply. In response to these complaints, health department teams have been deployed to assess the situation and provide urgent medical assistance to those affected.
Authorities are urging residents to avoid consuming tap water until further tests can confirm its safety. The KWA has stated that they are prioritizing the investigation and are working to ensure the quality of drinking water in the area is restored. As the situation develops, health officials advise community members to stay updated on the recommendations regarding water safety.
