Telangana Government Engages Consultant to Analyze Traffic Issues in Hyderabad and Propose Solutions

In a recent session of the Telangana Assembly, the issue of residents in high-rise buildings owning multiple vehicles was raised. The discussion highlighted concerns regarding traffic congestion and parking shortages in urban areas, particularly in densely populated residential complexes.

According to data from the Telangana Urban Development Authority, there has been a significant increase in the number of high-rise buildings in urban centers, which has led to a rise in vehicle ownership among residents. This trend poses challenges for local infrastructure as many of these buildings were not originally designed to accommodate multiple cars per household.

Furthermore, the Assembly emphasized the need for effective urban planning and the implementation of regulations to manage car ownership and parking facilities in high-rise developments. Stakeholders, including urban planners and local government officials, are being urged to explore sustainable transportation solutions and improve public transport systems to alleviate these concerns.
