SFI and DYFI Demonstrate Against NTAs Performance, Call for Resignation of Union Education Minister

Education leaders have expressed concerns regarding the repeated issues in the administration of major examinations, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). They argue that these ongoing lapses have fostered uncertainty and anxiety among students preparing for these critical assessments.

Moreover, the leaders criticize the Central government for not enacting significant reforms to address these shortcomings. The NEET is vital for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges, while the UGC-NET is essential for those aiming to qualify for research and teaching positions in universities. CUET serves as an entry point for undergraduate programs in various central universities.

The leaders are calling for immediate action to improve examination procedures, enhance transparency, and increase the accountability of examination authorities to regain student trust and ensure fair assessment processes. In light of the exams importance in shaping students’ futures, stakeholders emphasize the need for a comprehensive review and reform of the current system.
