ISL Clubs Present Four-Year Plan and Propose ₹15.4 Crore to AIFF Following Discussions with Sports Minister

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has confirmed that the 2026-27 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) will move forward as planned. This assurance came during a significant meeting attended by representatives from various ISL clubs, officials from the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and former AIFF President Praful Patel.

During the discussions, a new proposal advocating for a club-led model was presented, which would see the AIFF receive ₹15.4 crore. This amount is notably higher than the projected earnings from a potential partnership with Genius Sports, which had previously been under consideration.

Additionally, concerns regarding stadium costs were raised, highlighting the financial implications of hosting matches and the need for sustainable infrastructure solutions to support the leagues growth.

The ISL is a professional football league in India that has gained considerable popularity since its inception in 2013. With the upcoming season, the focus on enhancing the financial framework and operational efficiency could pave the way for a more robust competitive environment.
