Efforts Underway to Modernize 150 AYUSH Centers in Andhra Pradesh, Reports Health Minister

Sartya Kumar Yadav has announced that modernization efforts are currently underway at 90 AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) centers. Additionally, construction is ongoing for new AYUSH health centers within 60 government hospitals. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure and services provided by AYUSH centers, which are essential for promoting traditional medicine and holistic healthcare practices.

The modernization project is part of a broader effort to improve accessibility and quality of healthcare services within the AYUSH system. The initiative may involve upgrading facilities, expanding service offerings, and integrating AYUSH practices into mainstream healthcare. The new health centers are expected to further support the governments objective of expanding healthcare access, particularly in rural areas where traditional medicine plays a significant role.

The government is emphasizing the importance of integrating AYUSH with conventional health services to promote comprehensive healthcare and meet the diverse needs of the population. This move reflects a growing recognition of alternative medical systems, which are increasingly being included in public health strategies.
