KIADB Plans to Digitize All Stages of Industrial Plot Allotments Within 100 Days
The state of Karnataka is home to 224 designated industrial areas, each containing records pertaining to various plots of land. In an effort to modernize and streamline the management of this information, the government plans to initiate a comprehensive scanning and digitization project.
This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and transparency of land records for industrial stakeholders, which is expected to facilitate easier retrieval of information and promote investment in the region. As part of the digitization process, all existing documentation will be carefully scanned, and data will be stored electronically, enabling better organization and preservation of records.
Karnatakas push towards digitization aligns with broader efforts in India to adopt technology in governance and improve the ease of doing business. By transitioning to a digital framework, the state hopes to boost its industrial sector, attract new businesses, and support entrepreneurs in establishing and expanding their operations.
