Thiruvananthapuram District to Employ 5,527 Enumerators for Upcoming 2027 Houselisting and Housing Census
The initial phase of the upcoming Census is set to commence on June 16, with a self-enumeration period allowing individuals to record their own demographic information. This self-reporting initiative is designed to enhance data accuracy and participation rates. Following this phase, trained enumerators will conduct field visits from July 1 to July 30 to gather additional data and verify information provided during self-enumeration.
The Census aims to collect vital demographic, social, and economic data to inform governmental policy and resource allocation. It is essential for the representation of communities in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure development. The government has emphasized the importance of participation in the Census, as the collected data will impact local and national planning for the next decade.
