YSRCP Demands Prompt Completion of Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project

Sake Sailajanath has raised concerns regarding the coalition governments handling of the drought-prone Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. He alleges that the government has been neglecting essential infrastructure and development projects in the area. According to Sailajanath, approximately 90% of a critical water project was completed during the tenure of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), but he warns that immediate attention is required to address the remaining work. Failure to act promptly, he cautions, could lead to significant water shortages in the region in the future.

The Rayalaseema region is known for its arid climate and recurrent drought conditions, making effective water management crucial for local agriculture and livelihoods. As of recent discussions, stakeholders are emphasizing the need for government intervention to support sustainable development and mitigate the impact of water scarcity in this vital area.
