Union Minister Kishan Reddy Calls for Tamil Nadus Support in Critical Mineral Initiatives

In a recent statement, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy highlighted that the revenue generated from the extraction of specific minerals will be allocated to state governments. This revenue stream includes various financial components such as premiums, royalties, District Mineral Foundation (DMF) contributions, and cess.

Minister Reddy emphasized the importance of these funds in strengthening state economies, particularly in regions rich in mineral resources. The allocation mechanism is designed to ensure that local communities benefit directly from mining activities, which can contribute to development initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and social welfare programs.

Furthermore, the minister noted that mining regulations are aimed at promoting sustainable practices while balancing economic growth with environmental protection. As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the mineral extraction industry, the government is also looking into policy reforms to streamline procedures and ensure transparency in revenue distribution.
