New 160 MVA Transformer Installed to Enhance Power Supply in Bhimavaram District

The Undi 220 kV substation has faced challenges in meeting the increasing energy demand, leading to frequent power outages in the surrounding areas. To address this issue, the Transmission Corporation (Transco) expedited the installation of a new transformer, which was completed in a remarkable timeframe of just 17 days.

The quick deployment of the transformer is expected to enhance the substations capacity and improve the reliability of power supply in the region. This initiative aligns with Transcos efforts to upgrade infrastructure to better serve the growing energy needs of the community, particularly during peak usage periods.
