Indian Navy Warships INS Udaygiri and INS Kavaratti Visit Vietnam for Maritime Cooperation Enhancement
The Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy is currently operating two significant vessels: the INS Udaygiri, a state-of-the-art stealth frigate, and the INS Kavaratti, an advanced anti-submarine warfare corvette. These ships are under the leadership of Rear Admiral Alok Ananda, who serves as the Flag Officer Commanding of the Eastern Fleet.
The INS Udaygiri, commissioned recently, features advanced stealth capabilities, making it difficult for enemy radar systems to detect. This frigate is equipped with a variety of sophisticated weapons and sensors designed for multi-role operations, including air defense and anti-surface warfare.
Meanwhile, the INS Kavaratti, part of the Khukri-class corvettes, is specifically designed to carry out anti-submarine operations, enhancing the Indian Navys surveillance and combat capabilities in the region.
Both vessels play a crucial role in strengthening Indias maritime security and contributing to regional stability, as they participate in various joint exercises and missions to enhance naval prowess and interoperability with friendly nations. The Eastern Fleets operations signify Indias commitment to safeguarding its interests in the strategically important Indo-Pacific region.
