TNEB to Announce Recruitment for 20,449 Positions in Tamil Nadu Power Sector in 2026
The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) is set to announce its Recruitment 2026 notification in July, which will detail a total of 20,449 vacancies across various positions within the power sector in Tamil Nadu. Key roles include Assistant Engineer, Technical Assistant, Multi-Purpose Field Assistant, and Gangman.
The recruitment drive encompasses not only TNEB but also affiliated organizations in the power industry. Online applications for these positions are anticipated to open in August 2026. Among the available positions, there are 12,500 vacancies for Multi-Purpose Field Assistants and 839 for Assistant Engineers, indicating a substantial opportunity for individuals seeking employment in this sector.
In addition to TNEB, separate recruitment initiatives have been approved for Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO), Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TNGECL), and Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPGCL).
